Ground breaking news for GoPro! The Hero3 camera has come out and it's been the biggest and best product launch yet. I've been playing around with it for the last few days and here are some of the results...
This past weekend, Davey and I headed up to Bralorne (my first Bralorne experience) for some dirt biking with a couple of friends. We hit the snow line on our way up, and I felt the excitement coming over me of realizing winter is close, and so are my pow turns! For more- check out my album on Facebook dedicated to the awesome new cam: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.482652105108059.111625.175699832469956&type=3 True west coast adventure. First we (Davey Barr, Jim Martinello, Chris Glavin, GoPros) checked out the Squamish River- but it looked as if an entire forest was continuously floating by, and the water rose half a foot within the 15 minutes we were river scoping... So onto the next river inspection of the Mamquam. It was a rager as well. So we settled with paddling the end of the Squamish, through a meandering grassy stream (which usually doesn't have water), and out into the ocean, shananablamming the whole time (haven't laughed this hard, this continuously in a while)!
Goal: to knock opponents off of their board with just your paddle touching their board. Must be standing up. We all had some awesome bails. Enjoy :) New hot stuff in Whistler Blog: http://whistlerpicks.rtown.ca Well it's UP AND RUNNING! Not only am I a host for the amazing RTOWN Communications, but I'm also officially a 'blogger'! My Blog will be updated weekly with the hottest deals and events in town! So why not check it out, and maybe subscribe to 'Julia's Picks' ? I will do my best to entertain all of you each week with my insider's view on what's not to miss. Also- If you have an event or deal that you'd like me to write about, promote, get people excited about, and get myself excited about... drop me a line on my contact page (It goes directly to my personal email), and I'd be ecstatic to write about it. There's two up already, go check them out ! On another RTOWN Communications note- Here is my latest hosting experience. 'Get down to Function Junction because it's Funkadelatastic'! This was a fun one to work on with Bruno and Becky. Well, we did it again! But this time we sold 109 bags :) The timely articles in this weeks local papers helped a lot. People were coming to the booth knowing who I was, and what Jules Fuel was all about before I said a word. The amazing weather didn't hurt either.
Now I need everyone's input on what they think of the cereal. It was great to hear how people liked to eat it, what they liked to eat it with, which cooking method worked for them, how satisfied it kept their stomachs, and for how long, and just to hear that people enjoyed it! So please, email me, or go on to the Facebook page and let me know your feedback! http://www.facebook.com/JulesFuel Have a read:..."Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait. The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas." - Henry Ford The outcome was never really in doubt. She'd pushed her body to the very limit. Had accomplished deeds on her skis reserved only for the very best............." for the rest click here! Don't forget to come out to the Whistler Farmer's Market this SATURDAY October 6th. It will be the last time you can get your Jules Fuel at the market this season! Come load/fuel up for winter!... Or at least until we get the next selling option out there.... :)
Oh and by the way- I had a great meeting with Whole Foods today. He loved the name, idea and product! Just have to figure out more permanent packaging, labelling, and then distribution time! Excited. On another note: look out for my article in the Question and Michel Beaudry's story in the Pique this coming Thursday! |
